The CML SCT2400 is a highly integrated digital voice and data transceiver that operates in the 2.4GHz unlicensed ISM band and provides a long range digital voice and data communication link.
The device can be used as a replacement for a Two-way Radio (PMR/LMR) system or as an intercom function.
Operating in an unlicensed frequency bands means that the product is suitable for most countries around the world. Manufacturers can now offer a single design to the largest possible market rather than having region specific products, giving them economies of scale and the opportunity to widen their market reach.
The SCT2400 integrates a high performance radio transceiver, baseband processing including digital voice and data coding. The device requires only a few external components to complete a small form factor radio design and only needs a low voltage single supply that can be primary or rechargeable batteries.
